Kasutamiseks painuta mõlema käe pöidlaga valguspulka kuni pulgas olevad konteinerid purunevad ja seejärel raputa seda. Kasutamise ajal valguspulk ei kuumene. Pulga helendamise aega saab suurendada, kui seda eelnevalt külmikus hoida.
