MoG Master of Gloves tactical gloves at ESTTAC

Masters of Gloves is a Dutch manufacturer based in Nieuwegein that builds hand protection for people who work in it all day — police units, special forces, customs officers, security teams and firefighters. The Target shooting glove series was developed alongside heavy users during extended training in different environments, and it shows in the details: palms thin enough to feel a trigger properly, reinforcement exactly where a rifle wears a glove out, and sizing that runs in real numeric increments rather than three vague letters.

Our range covers the families people actually search for. The Target series runs from the ultra-thin Target Light Duty through the Target High Abrasion and Target High Abrasion ErgoShield to the D3O-equipped Target Combat, plus the semi-fingerless ErgoShield Trivium for searching and patrol work. The 2ndSkin is MoG's all-rounder for police, security and customs use. For cold weather we stock the Target Polar, the Shelter, the lightweight FrostLite and the FrostTac ECW Mitten, a trigger-finger mitten rated to -20°C. The Fast Rope Gloves and Fast Rope Tactical cover roping and abseil work, and the MoG Glove Holder keeps a pair on your belt or plate carrier when they are off your hands.

Most of what separates one MoG model from the next comes down to palm thickness and protection. The Light Duty uses a 0.6 mm DexSuede palm for maximum finger sensitivity; the High Abrasion adds reinforcement across wear points; the ErgoShield adds padding; the Combat adds a D3O knuckle for impact. Pick the thinnest glove that still gives you the protection your job needs — dexterity is the thing you lose first when you over-buy.

Why choose MoG?

  • DexSuede palms: MoG's synthetic suede is 0.6 mm thin, gives genuine trigger feel, and still protects against contact heat of 100°C for ten seconds.
  • Grip that works when wet: a mixed silicone print across the palm holds on weapons, ropes and textiles, and keeps working on sweaty skin.
  • D3O impact protection: the Target Combat carries a D3O knuckle that stays flexible until it takes a hit, then hardens on impact.
  • Properly certified: models are CE certified to EN 388:2016+A1:2018 for mechanical risk, EN 407:2020 for thermal, and EN ISO 21420:2020, with a model-specific EU Declaration of Conformity.
  • Touchscreen compatible: fingertips work on a phone or tablet, so you are not stripping a glove to use a device.
  • Real sizing: numeric sizes from 5 to 12 depending on model, stitched slim-fit over the fingertips rather than left loose.

Why buy MoG from ESTTAC?

  • Deep range in stock — shooting, duty, semi-fingerless, roping and four separate cold-weather options, ready to ship.
  • Fast EU dispatch, plus delivery to the UK and worldwide.
  • Sizing help from people who use the gear — glove fit is the thing customers get wrong most, and we would rather talk it through first.
  • Genuine MoG products, backed by a physical store, warranty and real support.

Frequently Asked Questions

MoG uses numeric European glove sizing rather than S/M/L. Measure the circumference of your palm in centimetres, just below the knuckles and excluding the thumb, then divide by roughly 2.5 — a 23 cm palm is about a size 9. As a rough guide, 6 is XS, 7 is S, 8 is M, 9 is L and 10 is XL. Sizing does vary between MoG models, so check the size chart on the specific product page. If you are between sizes on a thin model like the Light Duty, size down; the slim-fit construction is meant to be close.

For range and shooting work where feel matters most, start with the Target Light Duty. If you are hard on gloves or working around vehicles and rough kit, the Target High Abrasion adds durability for a small loss in sensitivity. Add the ErgoShield version if you want padding, or the Target Combat if you want a D3O knuckle for impact protection. For general police, security and customs duty the 2ndSkin is the all-rounder. For searching and frisking where you need bare fingertips, the ErgoShield Trivium is semi-fingerless. And for roping or abseil work, the Fast Rope models are built specifically for it.

DexSuede is MoG's own synthetic suede palm material, developed with AX Materials. At 0.6 mm it is thin enough that you keep genuine finger sensitivity for trigger work, radio operation and frisking, while still protecting against contact heat of 100°C for ten seconds. It is paired with a mixed silicone print that provides grip on weapons and ropes, and unlike natural leather it does not stiffen or shrink after it gets wet.

They are the same family with increasing levels of protection. The Light Duty is the thinnest, built purely for dexterity and finger sensitivity. The High Abrasion keeps that palm feel but adds reinforcement at the wear points a rifle creates, so it lasts longer under heavy use. The ErgoShield variant adds padding on top of that. The Combat sits at the top with a D3O knuckle for impact protection and trigger guard reinforcement, aimed at equipment handling, searching and patrol rather than pure range work. Each step up trades a little sensitivity for durability or protection.

There are four options depending on how cold it gets and how much dexterity you need to keep. The FrostLite is the lightest, from MoG's Frost Line series, for cool conditions where speed and precision still matter. The Target Polar is the winter version of the Target shooting glove, so it keeps the same hand feel with insulation added. The Shelter is the all-weather choice for professionals who need touch sensitivity in wet and cold. At the extreme end, the FrostTac ECW Mitten is a trigger-finger mitten rated to -20°C, built for Extreme Cold Weather operations where a conventional glove is not enough.

Yes. MoG gloves are CE certified as personal protective equipment, tested to EN 388:2016+A1:2018 for mechanical risks such as abrasion, cut, tear and puncture, EN 407:2020 for thermal risks, and EN ISO 21420:2020 for general requirements. Each model has its own EU Declaration of Conformity, and the specific performance levels differ between models — the pictogram and rating for the glove you are looking at are listed on its product page. This matters if you are buying for a unit or an employer with documented PPE requirements.

The Target series, including the Light Duty, is touchscreen compatible, so you can use a phone, tablet or vehicle screen without removing a glove. The thinner the palm, the better the response — the Light Duty performs best here. Heavily insulated cold-weather models and the semi-fingerless Trivium work differently: the Trivium simply leaves your fingertips exposed. Touchscreen compatibility is noted on each product page.
