The Ghost X MPLS features five LED light sources with multiple color outputs: white, red, green, blue and infrared IR. White light provides the main illumination with up to 300 lumens and a beam range of up to 102 meters, making it useful for navigation, searching, equipment handling and general outdoor tasks. Red, green and blue light modes provide alternative low-profile lighting options depending on the environment and user preference, while IR mode is designed for use with compatible night vision equipment.

The light is operated with a top-mounted button and a separate side lever for switching into IR Ghost mode. Standard operation allows the user to cycle through light settings with single clicks, while holding the button in a selected mode allows smooth brightness adjustment. The RGB light can be programmed by holding the button for 8 seconds, allowing the user to switch the default secondary color between red, green and blue.

For safety and gear transport, the headlamp includes an accidental activation lock. Holding the button for 3 seconds while the light is off activates the lock, helping prevent the light from turning on inside a backpack, pouch, pocket or equipment case.

The sealed polymer housing is rated IP68, giving the headlamp strong protection against water and dust. This makes it suitable for use in wet weather, outdoor operations, training, field conditions and environments where equipment must remain reliable despite dirt, rain or moisture.

The Multi-Fuel power system allows the Ghost X MPLS to operate with a CR123 battery, AA battery or rechargeable AA battery. This gives the user more flexibility in the field, especially when battery availability may vary during travel, training, operations or emergency situations.
